Our mission is to provide learning opportunities for adults, especially those who live in the rural valleys, sounds and plains of beautiful Marlborough. We can subsidise the costs of running courses.

  • Pay for tutor travel and accommodation.
  • Pay for venues.
  • Pay for associated resource costs.
  • Advertise course(s).
  • Support the cost of newsletters.
  • Provide sponsorship for conferences.
  • Provide day care while participants are at a course.
  • Network with community organisations.
  • Offer advice on tertiary education opportunities.
  • Help source funding for special community projects and provide resources.
  • Help promote community development.

An important part of Government's strategy for ACE
(adult community education)
are the national priorities for ACE provision.

To involve people who have not had positive learning experiences.
To raise basic writing, listening, speaking, reading and numeracy skills.
To provide opportunities for life long learning.
To support the community by providing development activities that meet their needs.
To provide activities that focus on developing skills and knowledge for participation in the community.

Outpost Facilitators-Volunteers who work as community leaders and contacts.
